Hello Everyone!! a little about me: i sold my ipo in 1999 and retired at the ripe old age of 34...he!he! i still own my seat on the ny stock exchange and have an apartment in manhatten and a cottage in sea island georgia. i love to travel and experience new things and YES!, i am gay. you seem to be an OPEN-MINDED bunch of boys and i'm looking forward to joining in on your fun with airguns. i wanted to start out with something small and work my way up so i contacted straightshooters to order my first gun. the guy was such a sweetie...he sold me a theoben crusader(whatever that is?). it hasn't arrived yet but i'm expecting you boys to help me get started with it....this is so exciting!!!! anyway, i just wanted to introduce myself and say hello!!

Right now I'm trying to decide if this is a joke designed to rile up a bunch of conservative gun-toters or a sincere introduction email about joining our community. If it's a sincere introduction, then let me say, "Welcome." I'm definitely in the minority here because I'm a liberal voter, but yet I love my guns and am a life member of the NRA. Yes, I am a strange, confused individual. I have found this community to be very nice and friendly when discussing airguns and I've always felt welcome.

Oh yeah! There's a few guys in the Manhattan area that get together too, I think. If you scroll down the home page of the site you'll see headings that concern shoots in various locations.
One thing, though... you might want to dress a little less... provocatively, if you know what I mean.

I wondering if the limits of what's considered an acceptable post are being played with. The general guidelines are here: http://www.gatewaytoairguns.com/office/GTARulesandRegulations.htmAnd one might note the following rules specifically: Foul language, *_*_*_*_*_*graphy, *_*_*_*_*_*ual explicit material and any provocative photo’s is strictly forbidden. They will be deleted and you may be banned. Offensive pictures, racial slurs, and character insulting will not be tolerated and can be cause for being banned. (including rule #5) Anything material posted that is illegal, immoral or unethical will be deleted. Since the bulk of the post seems devoted to a non-airgun subject, it could easily appear that this gentleman is trying to 'push buttons'. Hopefully this is not his intent. If posts are kept to relevant content, I don't think there'll be an issue. |

c'mon guys lighten up! i went back and read the post. there were only 6 small sentences telling who they were and the rest of the post was pertaining to airguns. i agree the picture is a bit bizarre but they didn't post anything obscene. actually, they are fully clothed!! i don't condone their "preferences" but at least i'm willing to give them a chance.....that's more than most of you are doing!!!! LIGHTEN-UP!!!

Well, the photo was obviously provocative, but was just as obviously displayed in good humor.
Sure it's outrageous, but if it gets erased then this forum is gonna have a big neon sign hangin' over it sayin' "Rednecks".
Whether it's just comedy or a guy makin' a big entrance, it does nobody here any harm, at least in my estimation.
