Ok , the item in the O.P. has been forgotten ( and the 50 bucks spent on it ). 9 revisions of self moderation...movin on.
I've come up with a few BKL-260 mounts ( perhaps from different " vintage ). My favorite is a zero compensation with a dull finish and the BKL insignia on one side. This mount just seems " better " in some way than the shiney ones...perception maybe ? I plan on using the flat mount on my son's Beeman Rs-2 ( chinese ) and one of the 7 droop mounts on my RWS 92.
The BKL 260 misses the " 426 Hemi " of scope mounts due to the 2 screw scope clamp ( and the " fixed " height of the mount itself ). The lower dovetail groove clamp is close enough for me.
The BKL site states that they will be back on - line soon. I've read something on here that references " learning from the past ". I sure will...BKL mounts for me from this point on. Used , new , stripped....still better than anything else ( except for the UTG late model RWS mounts ) on the market now...10 times over. - M
Edit / add : didn't want to add a post and bump ( I've said more than enough , lol ).
http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/9278/picturexpq.jpgThis thing just felt so ..." Right " bolting on. I cranked on these fasteners a hell of alot harder than the OT...this thing isn't going anywhere. I degreased grooves on the gun / mount , blue loctite on everything , loctite " stick N seal on the rings...and pencil marks on scope and reciever ( all things the smart people here told me to do in the first place ...as well as using a BKL mount from the start ).
Edit / add 2 :
http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/3073/picture008c.jpgGetting the mount on this gun was a little different than I had imagined...and I learned what the three threaded holes are for

Whatever this mount is made of is just insane...I thought I'd strip these threads for sure getting this thing to open up ( the reciever grooves don't go all the way to the back like the RWS ). I removed the factory stop and plugged the hole with a setscrew ( more loctite ). The scope is ancient...an old friend from my first rifle ( Remington 760 30-06 ). I'm not sure if OLD Bushnell's are reinforced on the front end or not...I guess I'll find out.
