I'm new so don't know what barrel Droop  is/means for air rifles.  I can help in the Military Surplus arena but am just now learning about these very interesting rifles. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's a pretty simple term. Barrel droop is when a barrel doesn't line up with the reciever tube when fully closed. Most droop downward calling for a mount to compensate for the droop. That, or a few skillfull bends. Others actually have an upward droop, but it's less common.

Hope that helps!

Barrel droop is much more common in break barrel air rifles, but aren't uncommon for fixed barrels. It is almost impossible to manufacture a truly straight precisioned bore....that being said, barrel droop will often vary in the droopage; ex. barrel is to the left -- right -- up -- down -- upright, etc....you get it =] But anyway, it won't make a dramatic difference in close ranges, however it will be noticeable at longer ranges.

And Jim, I like your BBQ advertising =] I hope you guys have fun tomorrow!
