I'm not sure. how they are; I've never tried them. Just looking at photos people have provided the predators look better made. There was a bit of chatter about them on various fora when they first came out but I basically haven't heard anything since, which kinda makes me think they're nothing special.

In any case, the issue might eventually become moot..: Predator International, Inc. v. Gamo Outdoor USA, Inc.

pindog2000 I beleive there is already a write up on these in the pellet review forum. You may get a better responce in the right forums. this is the hunting gate... I dont know if the moderators want to move these pellet posts there or the airgun gate.

Just FYI they aren't near the quality of the predators IMHO.  They seem to fly all over the place compared to the preds.  In fact I've never seen a Gamo pellet I liked.

I agree with atchman, I have never had a Gamo pellet that's consistent in any of my guns. I also love all JSB pellets so I will gladly pay a couple bucks more for the genuine predators. They always give me consistent results.

Personally, I think the most important point of the sport ofairgunning is the journey for a shooterto find the perfect shooting equipment. That is, finding the right gun for you and your shooting style. We all know or are finding out that all AGs like a particular ammo. They just shoot better and more accurate with aspecific round.

With that said, I would have toadd thatI've had great results with Gamo ammo. All of my AGs have performed BEST with CPHP as an all-around ammo but for hunting, the Gamo Rockets have proven to be the "go to" ammo. They are VERY accurate and pack one heckova punch down range. I just bought a tin of Gamo Red Fire .177 this weekend. I plan on testing them in a few days on at least 3 of my guns just to see for myself. I've read reviews that these are deadly accurate and mushroom great to give maximum damage to game under 40 yards.None of my guns may like these but I'll see for myself. So don't count ANY ammo out, there's a gun out there that's just waiting to be fed some. Enjoyyour AG journey.

Happy Shooting!!!!

I recently tried these pellets. I shoot about 25 feet in my basement. These pellets performed very well. At this short distance they will cut holes everytime (assuming I do my job shooting).

I shot a few of these and they are decent accuracy but had alot of the tips fall out in the can. After that they are hollow points. I have shot them into a pine branch and they penetrated good and the tip seperated, as to be expected, so this could cause additional damage to a little fury target. I got the PBA assortment pack and was overall not impressed with any of the pellets to pay the price to get any of them again. Will stick with the lead Gamo pellets. I have better shots with all the regular lead pellets. All the PBA will go to the kids for their daisy.
