I guess I've been showing signs of  a bad case of "gotta have that gun".  I must have mentioned the Benji Trail XL more than I thought. The Girl Friend just asked, "Do you want that gun for your Birthday?"

HECK YES !!!!!

Just pushed the button on one in 22 cal.  I love that Woman !!!!!

It is hard to find a good woman Paul. Hang on to her buddy. I lost my lady when I started sleeping with my guns. She said that was the last straw.....Smiley

    Gene.
That's kinda how I lost the wife.
I grew up with guns but got away from them when I married a city gal. Was working 24/7 to support her and the girls- so she bought me a shotgun and told me to take time off and go use it,... or she'd used it on me!  Then she got upset when I was off shooting with the guys, or sitting at the reloading bench. Up until then, neither one of us knew how much she hated guns.

When she left, she got all the antique oak furniture, and I got all the gun stuff. I'd rather oil guns than wax furniture !!!!! Cheesy

The Girl Friend like guns and has her own. Loves being in the woods, camping, hunting and is great at cooking wild game, ..... that is, when she takes time out from fishing. She supports my shooting habbit - I support her fishing habbit !!!

Thank God I found a country girl !!!!!

Paul, sounds to me like you ought to consider marrying that gal.Women like her don't come along everyday.I recently married one like her and I have no regrets.Got her a gun for her last two birthdays. In a couple of years I'll get her a new pick up truck he he.Since she likes to fish as much as me I might even spring for a new boat in a few more seasons. For her of course.

    Yes, she's one in a million !!!!!

She loves the outdoors and anything to do with it, especially watching critters. Even more than I do.  Has all her own hunting and fishing gear. But, she realizes there are some critters that need to be protected, and some not.

She has no love lost for critters that do damage to crops, gardens, dwellings, or harm other critters she likes.

She will even come find whatever room I'm in and let me know if, and what, critters she's spotted and wants me to see also (Hawks, Crows, song birds, etc) and which need shooting (Red Squirrels, Starlings). She's the one who first spotted the Squirrel that was nesting in my barn and let me know about it several weeks ago. She even picked up a road-kill Pheasent for the owner of a bait shop her son worked at because she knew he had a collection of taxidermied critters on display in his stores.

She's excellent at spotting critters, and loves to go for drives on our back country roads "critter watching". She thought of, and writes up all the entries in the "critter log book" we keep in the van.

Over eight years now, including working together as partners, and I still can't believe I'm sooooooo lucky !!!!!!
