My brother is thinking about ordering one of these! How do you like yours? Have you checked the fps yet? How does it shoot? Is it hold sensitive? Thanks for you help, Wade

Great looking Benji... All you need now is a GRT-III trigger and you will have a perfect shooter..

Thanks guys. Yeah, this beauty is a beast though. After shooting the 7-1/2 lb Whisper for the past year, and three days of shoveling snow before the Trail got here, it seems even heavier and tougher to cock than it probably is. However, by the time I get this gun all figured out and squared away I should have arms like Popeye !!! Gene, Shot it some more this morning where I could pay attention to the trigger instead of trying not to blow holes in my Chrony. Yes, it will most definitely need a Tuna Trigger. While not as unpredictable as the Gamo brick, this trigger still takes alot to pull. So much so that the crisp edges of the trigger are becoming uncomforable. Only adjustment is for second stage length. I'm not even going to try and mess with it. Once I know I'm going to keep it, and my 30 days Pyramyd return time is up, I am definitely getting a Tuna Trigger for it. This trigger is no where near as nice as Bob's little golden beauty I put in the Whisper. This has come up before, and with this being a new production gun thought you'd be interested to know. Reading the owner's manual, I noticed in section 7. "Maintaining Your Airgun", Crosman says, " To ensure that your air rifle maintains uniform power, it is important that you apply a drop of Crosman RMCOIL every few hundered shots into the compression chamber. (Fig The external metal parts should be cleaned with a cloth that has RMCOIL on it. Think I'll call and see if I can get more from Crosman on why. So far accuracy is nothing impressive. But that doesn't surprise me with little more than 100 pellets, it still puts out an occational small puff of smoke when the barrel is broken open, plus I'm still trying to figure out which pellet(s) it likes best, and how it likes to be held. The good news is that it seems to prefer all the pellets I stocked up on when I first bought the Whisper before I found out it likes the Jumbos. Could I be that lucky More later as I get further along this "Trail" !!! Paul.

Jeff, Thanks. I posted a review earlier here, "Benji Trail XL1100 arrived" http://www.gatewaytoairguns.com/airguns/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=25888&posts=3&start=1 I thought it would be too long if I included all the pix, so I started another post. Oh well, it seemed like a good idea at the time. Paul

My mistake Paul.... I did read that post.... I'll just chalk this up to another "senior moment" for me the XL's must be a hot item as I see PA is already sold out of them..... probably a good thing for me cause if they had them in stock right now I might get yelled at by the wife Jeff

Jeff, Yeah, I keep forget how bad my memory is getting too ! I guess they are going quick. First time Pyramrd listed them they sold out within short time. Mine (#130) was ordered last week from the second batch and as of this past Monday morning they were listed as "limited supply". Wonder if they'll sell as hot as the Mrods ? Paul.

If they all shoot as hot as yours I would venture to say that they will be a tough item to keep in stock....
