This morning the Sun finally came out and the high winds we've had since I put the new seal and Tuna Trigger in have dropped.

First, I did some more experimenting with adjusting the Centerpoint scope's AO and quick focus. Having the AO  set to 30 yards, the target picture  was out of focus to get the cross hairs in crisp focus. Set to 50 yards all was in focus, but any head movement and the cross hairs would move around on the target picture. Setting the AO scale to 100 yards finally got the parralex correct with all staying in focus.

Fired more Preditors at the asprin bottles out at 35 yards as part of more wearing in the new seal, but was missing alot. Aimed lower and was getting hits. It was shooting high having been sighted in at 30 yards during high winds.

Since it was so nice out, I set out targets at 30 yards to get back to testing hold.  Since it likes the Preditors and I have so many, that's all I used for today's testing.

Yesterday's shooting, plus at the plastic bottles this morning, showed that it definiately likes the front hand right on the foregrip checkering. Next was how firm a grip.

First two shots at the 30 yard target were still high.

Down 8 clicks and 3rd shot  was about an inch low at 8 o'clock (still a loose hold on foregrip checkering).

4th shot even lower at 6 o'clock with an open hand hold. Ok, she doesn't like a loose front hand.

Up 4 clicks and try holding with a firm grip on front hand and pulling the gun firmly into shoulder like shooting a high powered rifle and it put the 5th shot right into the bullseye. Using the same hold, the next 5 shots went into one vertical ragged hole a 1/2 inch to the right.

It took ALOT of concentration to get those last 6 shot within 1/2 inch of each other. As I mentioned before, this one is not a forgiving shooter. Give her less than a 100% concentration and she shows me exactly how much I slacked off !!!!

After that my left arm was too tired to hold her as steady as I'd like to see if she would do more one hole strings.

At least she's shown me she's a keeper !!!!

Paul.

If your AO is set to 50 yards when you're shooting 35 yards, then your AO needs to be set back to 35 yards and the Ocular lens (eyepiece side) needs to be focused.

Yes, to get focus at 30 yards this scope's AO has to be set at 50, but to eliminate parralex at 30 yards, the AO scale has to be set on at least 100 yards.

The design of this scope is such that it needs a special spanner to loosen the front lens locking ring. And because the AO is ajustable, the lense may not be adjustable in it's housing like fixed AO scopes I've adjusted in the past.  So, with this one, "100" is the new 30.   Cheesy

Since I don't use the AO scale for ranging, it's not important to me what the AO scale actually reads. Just mentioned it as part of what I'm finding out about this package gun. Now that I know I'll be keeping the gun and using it for hunting, I'm saving up to put better glass on it.
