2250 to pcp conversion?

I have been thinking about PCP guns for a while and  have a 2250 that would be really cool converted to PCP if possible. Figured all that would have to be done is put a cap on the end with the correct fitting to hook to a pump. That raises other questions. First one , would the tube that the CO2 cartrige goe's in be strong enough to hold 2000-2500 psi? Next,  when it comes to PCP/Co2 guns you can leave them pumped up when not in use. Is that true for the 2250 that uses little CO2 cartriges? And is there a conversion that will let use use the 88 gram CO2 cartriges? I found the 2250 that uses them but not the conversion. Do they make one that will go out the front? It seems like the one that hooks up to the back would get in the way when shooting.

around 1500psi is yer lot...saftey wise..
the custom shop guns that don't have the role stamping
on them are the best ones....stronger tube
you would need to seal the valve to the tube .."O-ring"
A bulk fill B&A boss valve is made for this applactation..

I have HPA/PCP converted a 2240 but didn't use the tube to
hold air..feed a 13ci tank staright into the valve...

On all the guns I have seen the roll stamping is not in the area of the tube that holds pressure.

I have two crosmans converted to PCP. One is on a custom shop that is filled to 1800 psi (has been filled to 3400 psi, but had valve lock issues) shooting .177 at ~600 fps. The other is a don cothran tube that is filled to 3000 psi regularly (much stronger spring) shooting .25 beman FTS at ~28 ft lbs.

The MOST important aspect of these conversion is to PIN or BOLT the valve in place. This is VERY important for safety. The valve can blow out the back end of the gun if it is not pinned.

Be careful about the jdsairman website.  The guy make statements that are not accurate.  

I've been a paintball player for years.  I own/have owned multiple makes/models of PB guns as well as worked on other's guns.  Jdairman claims paintball guns have an internal regulator that drops the pressure down to 400psi for the gun to use.  That is entirely untrue, except possibly in the obscure Autococker, where it MAY have a regulator to operate an air cylinder that cycles the bolt.  Paintball guns use either "HI" pressure (800-850psi) or "LOW" pressure (400-450psi) to operate.  Spyder and Tippmann designs use the higher, 800-850psi, pressures to work as excess gas is used to blow the action back and load a new ball.  Many of the newer guns use the lower pressure because it is quieter, uses more of the tank and is easier on the ball (more accurate?).    

Claims of a PB regulator not working with an AR is not true.  Air is air, pressure is pressure and a projectile is a projectile.

Check out the "green" Crosman forum. There are guys on there that have converted CO2 guns to PCP. A lot of them seem to be buying Discovery parts from Crosman to convert their 2240/50/60s. Use the search.

I did a 2240/disco conversion- real easy- disco tube ,valve,fill adapter,rougjhly $110 in parts,already had steel breech on 2240 and 18" barrel- had to tap disco tube at front hole for 4-48 screw-added crossman stock- call it "frankenstein" cause tube is longer than barrel-
