Well Last week I was doing some regular target shooting @ 10 yards in my garage. Normal stuff , nice one hole groups and I was shooting off sandbags... I had just destroyed what I was shooting so I was going to quickly setup new targets, put my Marauder back on the bags...

Walked about 4 steps away to go replace the targets...And I heard a sound behind me no one wants to hear, Your $500 gun hitting the garage floor! I quickly picked up my baby and... I cried like a little girl and said a few bad words too. Luckily nothing was broken, But the left side buttstock was scratched, my scope took a slight dent, and a slight tick on my end cap.

Good news is it still shoots like a champ, and it just proves how well mades these guns are. Well i wasn't happy about the comestic damage so it made me wanna spray it. I'm happy with the outcome... Cool  she's a Black Beauty

Edit* MODS it is not letting me post my pics...they are under 100k, gimme a sec. i'll go host them at photobucket

These pictures are taken with a blackberry and DO NOT do the gun justice, this looks like it came from the factory. Of course people are gonna say I ruined the wood stock, but there were a couple blemishes already. And honestly before spraying it I thought the benji logo on the bottom, and grooves would fill in after painting.

I put on like 4 coats...I was happy to see i could still see and feel everything. this stuff is really durable, I'm more of a practical person anyways...and i use my guns, it doesn't have to be pretty. now this things looks mean

Thanks for the props Andy.......I've been away from the site for about a month (not by choice) my internet was down at home. So I had to comeback and show you guys what I have been up to... Cool

P.S. I've taken 3 crows so far with this gun this month. 30-50 yard shots no problem!

Very nice rig!  That stock is PRESERVED if anything, not ruined!  Maybe not until 37 years from now, someone will strip it and love that woody stock.

What brand of bedliner paint did you use?
If it was the rustoleum, did yours look more like beach sand mixed with flat black spray paint after you were done?
I've seen some here that looked like black rubber.
Yours really has a sinister look now!!!

I used the only spray on bed liner my auto parts store had..... It is "Dupli-Color truckliner" You have to make sure keep that can shaken well, but the texture applies pretty even

It dries pretty quick, hmmmm would describe the paint as..Flat to semi-gloss. ( not too shiny, but not just plain flat)

I don't think it looked like sand....it is weird to explain, because it wasn't too much texture. and it evenly spread

This days I am modifieng the marauder stock style.... BIG PROBLEM.... the wood of the MARAUDER IS SOFT.... YES IT IS SOFT....

SO EVERYBODY....take care and do not let fall your rifle and care with hard surfaces around the Marauder

or you will have a dent on it very easy.... Marauder wood is too delicate.

I hope to receive my 4th Marauder action back from CROSMAN on june/

to finish my Marauder custom project.
