.....just how much I LOVE my new XL1500?Huh?

Got a pleasantsurprise today when I put a few rounds through it to tweak the scope. We're at the lake this weekend and I brought along my Beeman pellet trap and some Shoot-N-C targets. Set it out about 25 yards from the back deck and tried some CPHP rounds first. Theygrouped 1/2"from bullseye while going supersonic. I switched to CP Ultra Mags and that calmedit down to subsonic and still grouped well. While lookingpast my trap, I spied a log on the bank about 100 yards away with some turtles sunning. There are millions of those around here and I thought one or two less wouldn't matter. Since I was dead on at 25 yards, I guesstimated one Mil-dot in elevation should cover the distance. I was wrong, it went high. No way can this gun have flat trajectory with a .177 round out to 100 yards. Well, I was wrong again.

Next shot I put aprotruding headin the cross hairs. Squeezed the golden trigger and man, what a hit. This is one awesome AG!!!!! I can not wait to slap a .22 barrel on this machine and see what it will do. If it doesn't perform as I imagine, not a problem. I'm totally happy with this jewel as a .177 powerhouse!!!!!

Happy Shooting!!!!

Reach out, reach out and touch a wild thang with that XL 1x00.
Looking forward to your barrel swap-o-matic successes.

Oh, I gotta know - which pellet weight did you load up for the turtle soup shots? Ultra? NICE!

I quess you and i are the only ones on here that have one of these and they are suprisingly accurate even supersonic mine shoots half inch groups at 55 yards.I am very pleased with mine. It reaches out where my xl1100 dosen't think about.                                              thanks david
