After removing 12 Chippers last year ( 11 with the Gamo and one with the 850) I had not seen any till a few days ago but not till today had I had a chance to get shot off. Crummy rainy day so I was hanging by my shooting window when I see this guy at 20 yards, pick up the 850 and take a shot and miss, a little later I see him at 30 yards and try again and miss again. I knew it was a little over due for a co2 change , he comes out again in the same spot so I get the RS3  and load a crowmag and miss again! I change the co2 in the 850 and check the zero with some cans around my yard and it seems good so I sit and wait. An hour or so later hes back in the same spot so I try to open the window slowly but hes wised up now and takes off in to the bushes ( They seem to be slower learners  than tree rats with them I usually get only one shot and then they are watching the window)  About another half a hour and hes back about 30 yards again, I open the window very slowly and just enough to get the barrel out and be able to see with the scope, hes kind of looking but still there, I aim at the sweet spot and send the CPHP away, The impact flips him back  a foot or so and a few twitches and hes rose food. I go out with the camera and see the CPHP had gotten him in the right ear, now I should have flipped him over for another shot but with the weather I got the camera back in the house, When I go back to plant him for rose food I pick him up and find the CPHP exited  right out the left ear!

Excellent shot at that little guy...and a head-shot to boot.  Your 850 spitting the CPHP really whacked him good.

Those chippers are tough little targets, especially when you consider they rarely just stand there and let you take aim....  Good shooting and nice pic.
