I have been enjoying watching the bt's play around my yard and eating the seed off the ground around my feeders. I haven't had them in my yard for years but they finally started showing up. Well, one day I found they had gotten into my well house and tore my bag of feed open. Dang thing almost ran between my legs escaping the scene on the crime. I let that one slide, figured I should have knew better. Well, a couple days ago I found one of the feeders on the ground. I know what happened. I have been watching this one Bt hanging upside down and getting seed out of it. I would have loved to have watched this happen when the cord gave way and the feeder fell. I bet it scared the tar out of him. Well, I figured I would let that slide. Yesterday, I came home from work and I find two of them on my center feeder, OK, no big deal but one of them managed to get the lid open and was down inside of it. Man did they run when they saw me pull up. Ok, that's it. In the house I go and load up the BSA with Preds. Later I found one back on the feeder again and sent his furry little hide to the great beyond. I didn't get a picture due to the forum being down, but Ill see if he is still where I put him last night and grab a shot for you guys. 20 yard head shot and the brain juices started to flow. Man they can dance.  Smiley

Good shooting Paul.  We haven't seen that BSA in a while Smiley

Don't feel bad about the tree rat.  If they constantly bombard your bird feeders and eat everything, send them to hell.  My mother-in-law bought this bird feeder and filled it with like 2lbs of bird feed.  Well the thing was not completely squirrel proof but pretty close.  We got to her house Sunday afternoon and I noticed the feeder on the pole on the side of the house for the 1st time.  Of course there was a squirrel on it having a good 'ol time stuffing himself.  He was upside-down and had figured out how to get seed out with his dirty little paws.  We walked inside and she said that was the 4th squirrel that had visited since they put it out in the morning!  They had been sitting there watching all day to see if any birds would come.  Well a couple of hours later and 2 more squirrels, all the bird seeds were gone!  Not 1 bird came.  The tree rats ate everything and were constantly at the feeder.  They got to watch nothing but tree rats.  She has not filled it since Sunday and she asked my wife today if we want the feeder.  I told her not to give up and to get the one with the little hole for the small birds.  I will probably go find her one.  So shoot the dang things.  I took down the bird feeder this summer so I don't get tempted to shoot the squirrels out of season.  I don't trust one of my neighbors..  Come hunting season in September though, the feeder is going back up and it's open season on anything that is not a song bird Smiley

Thanks guys. The fat one is back but behaving well so far. Of course all three of my feeders are empty and I haven't had time to refill them. Maybe tomorrow.
