I find it funny how people try to sell thier stuff at or slightly under the price you can buy it for.  The reason people buy used things is because they are CHEAPER.  Some people must think everyone rode the short bus to school.  I'm talking about all websites.. But not really here on GTA.  end rant.

True but....consider what the seller has had done to the item. For instance, a home or professional tune (up to $150), scope upgrades (add another $70+), and any other improvements like muzzle breaks and shrouds. There's a reason folks ask more than a new price for a gun. And if you look close and read, MOST are selling the items at a loss.

You have the right to buy a bone stock gun new and pay a certain price, or buy one that's been modded and improved at a savings of time AND money for you. I have one I'm thinking of posting that can be bought new for around $189shipped. But, it's been Gene professionally tuned and glass added. You think I'm going to ask $189 shipped?Huh Not hardly. But I'll ask less than I actually have invested. Or, I'll just keep it.

My rant in reply...LOL.

Happy Shooting!!!!

Excellent reply Dave. I just posted a couple of guns on the classified gate, and I'm taking a loss on both rifles. One of them I really don't want to sell since I've gotten alot of enjoyment shooting it,.....but one man can only have so many guns,....and I don't have the cash to build my own gun bunker like Charleston Heston did. But at the same time, I feel the price I've listed for them is fair and justified. No Rant here!!! LOL's, tjk

Totally agree with you guys.. I'm sorta just posting about all Classified ads on all websites on everything not just airguns....  not here in particular.. lol  shoulda been more specific.    I've bought a few things from members of the forums here all were great buys and good items.  I love this forum..  I was kinda bummed the last few days because I wasn't able to log on...lol

HeeHee....gotcha. And again, true. I scour fleabay and do a LOT of transactions there. And it's just amazing the price some folks ask for used items. But again, you have to look at exactly WHAT you're buying. I am looking for a certain ite and KNOW what it sells for. In the search results, I just skip right past items above or near the retail price. I look at the more reasonable and well below retail priced itemsand then start investigating deeper and asking questions of the seller.

Yep, there's folks out there selling for a living. And they jack the prices up in hopes someone is desperate and will jump on it.

Or not paying attention....or those that have more money than sense. LOL

Me too schmidty. Since the GTA's been 'on the ropes' the last few days, I've kinda been in an AG funk too. I mean I catch up with the latest in the other forums. But the GTA is the only one I'm vocal with. Besides all the other forums have their AH's, and I've claimed the title as the chief AH on the GTA!!! LOLs Sometimes it's just plain fun too stir the $h|t and watch everybody react to the smell. Kinda like fartin in an elevator. Life's full of drama so you may as well play your part and enjoy it!!

Wow, is that awesome or what?Huh Ah, I'm guessing "or what". LOL

Bet they will be guessing WHY their Trail NP isn't selling. Or, if they're smart, they're a distributor that doesn't actual buy and have them in stock. They drop ship. THAT would be the wise thing to do, especially if you list something for OVER the retail price.

Yeah shipping an all (mailing really) $32.I have even sent him cash I trust the man that much,he is beyond reproach.I was just in a hurry this time an used his site an a card, the process is pull clip off of trigger pin, pull out, trigger will pull out then, take anti bear tap pin out of old, set it in new trigger, place trigger back, pin in an clip it an you got the best trigger on the market an it is adjustable,I have my Whisper at what can only be discribed as lite trigger/target trigger, not for most shooter's but I've shot a long time an LIKE it.Do try one sometime ,90% of acc. is in trigger control!!!!TAKE CARE   JAY

I guess you have to ask yourself, "Do guns appreciate over time?" When purchasing a house for example, if they put in marble floors, full walk-in closets, jacuzzi baths, etc. then that may make the price of the home go up. However, some people install basic engine modifications to a car or add a better stereo and expect to recoup that cost for the upgrade. Some people don't want to pay for the upgrade and simply want the depreciated value of the item. I think the same goes for airguns. Some of us don't want to pay for someone else's  indulgences!
