I had returned home from my all nighter night hunt, great experience and check my other post. I was out in the shop doing some house cleaning and as usual had one of the pistola's on hand. Maybe this has become a challenge game for them or they just realized that there's a gold mine of eats her but another landed in the yard this morning. CAW! CAW! CAW! and in amazement I leaned the broom against the wall and grabbed the 800MAG. I had tested the Gamo Red Fire pellet's which are cheap copies of the Predator but they group great in the MAG so that's what was loaded in her. I did a quick peak around the door and spotted him and he was facing right at me as he stood in the middle of the bird bath feeder, perfect. I eased the shooter around the corner and settled the sight's on his chest then sent a Fire Tip at him. I heard the THWACK! then watched some feathers fly as he fell straight back off the feeder then land on his back. His tail fluttered several times and light's out. I can only think that they have just found my assortment of feeders and seed's and are passing on the word to the family, families getting smaller. Another 15 yarder with the 800MAG and Gamo FireTip pellet. Ed

Nice shot with the 800Mag Ed!  Wow that's a few crows already with your pistols.  Nice job.

This one looks like a young one.  My guess is these hatched earlier this year and are out on their own with not much experience.  They probably don't know how to read yet, and did not pay attention to the notice back at the roosting place which has an aerial map of your property with a big X on it, hehehe.  I know they have mine there and avoid even flying over my property Smiley  I 'm starting to see the same.  I 've had a few smaller/younger crows land on the lawn and my trees, but couldn't shoot them because they are out of season, and I don't trust one of my neighbors..

Between you shooting crows with a little ol" bitty pistol and Jake shooting chiperrs with a bow, all the ethics rules have gone out the window.

Great Shot.
