I recently added an RJ Machine steel breech to my crosman 1377 pistol, so I needed to get some kind of sighting system installed on the 11mm dovetail. Off I go and pick of a ~$35 Tasco RedDot from the local Sports Authority. I get home and want to try it out. It is hard to mount because the mounts have large radius on them and barely grab the dovetail. I get it mounted. I sight it in and all seems well, but about 25% of the time my shot is far left (up to 2 inches at 10 yards). I set the pistol on a non-moving surface and don't touch it. As I move my head up and down and to the right the dot stay perfectly on target. If i move to the left even a little (1/2 inch) the dot jumps to the left. This is a pretty bad parallax issue. I take it off and return it. I check the store demo unit and it has the same problems.

Conclusion. If you want to do more than shot a 2 inch group from 10 yards, don't buy this cheap reddot sight. Get a better one.

Thanks for the informative review Martin. Nice to get a hands on take on a product. Goodness knows we all have enough issues with scopes on air rifles.
