Our next in state (Georgia ) shooting event is going to be on the 18th  of August , A field target event held at Airgunning Atlanta but a new location for me in Breman Georgia. They call it AA West . It'll be a 60 target event . My first for that many targets.  Directions are to be found at   http://www.airgunningatlanta.com/index2.html   if anybody is interested . They would like to know if you're coming as I understand lunch will be provided . I hope I read that right. We may have a practice shoot on the 12th at the Covington  location , nothing final. as soon as I find out I'll let you know. kirby

We had our match today . We had nine shooters in all for the 60 target match. I shot my  Air Arms S400C Carbine, hunter style and had a  great time but didn't score that well. As a matter of fact I got beaten by Scott's son Nikolai , with his Air Arms S200. He shot a 25 which was one  point less than his dad . You better look out dad.  I shot a 20 but was all around the tiny kill zones that was on these targets. We had some that had to be no bigger than 1/2" at 45 yards or more . we were told the Troyer factor was 32 for difficulty . That's supposed to be pretty tough. A lot of small KZ's  and the avg. shot was over 35 yards . But as usual some of the regulars shot some nice scores . Walt(the host) shot the highest with a  52  and there was a 51 and a few in the upper 40's . Jon shot a 32        ( with his Air Arms F/T) I think, I'm sure he'll correct me if I'm wrong. A great time was had by all in spite of the heat . We  had a cool breeze most of the shoot and all  of the targets except maybe for one were shot in the shade. After the shoot , we were treated to burgers and potato salad and $2 fills on our air tanks from Walt who had just bought a new compressor. He even topped off my 13CF tank off for free. Thanks Walt. Some pictures of the shoot......kirby

Looks like you guys had a great time Dave and that looks like a great playground there. But.... I think you better practice a bit :p  :p  I'm sure it was just a bad day cuz I've seen you shoot.

I will make the excuses for David...This particular course from what the owner told me is one of the hardest around, plus it is designed for PCP Unlimited class (you know fancy match guns)  anyway Kirby did really good IMO considering he was using a hunting rifle......the rest of us have knee rests, knee pads, high dollar scopes, target knobs, etc, etc, etc.  I personally think if I used his rifle or my hunting rifle I would not have shot any better (probably worse, LOL).

Also just a few months ago of we shot more than 10 targets we were happy guys.  How soon we forgot our humble begginings, LOL.  The score that really impressed me was the club president Ken who shot 42 out of 60 with a TX200 that was just recently repaired (broken spring), he really held his own IMO.
