I stepped outside to check out the birdfeeders when I happened to notice two squirrels making a feast out of one of them. I grabbed my tuned B4-2 (my go to gun for this sort of thing) and peeked around the side of the house. The result was a chest shot at 32 yards with a solid kill. The other one didn't hang around long enough to see what was happening but I suspect he lost his taste for birdseed. The thief... One tuned 11 fpe B4-2 with new camo scheme... [ another B4-2 camo scheme... Russ S.

It is bedliner. Spray paint just doesn't seem like it would hold up well enough in the woods.
Thanks again for the feedback MULLSKINNER.

Thanks Gene. You should have a look at my album, plenty of hunting shots in there. I was pleased with the B4's performance at this range. I've got guns that shoot harder but I like the fact that with this one, I don't have to worry about hitting the neighbor's dog which is two houses down.
Thanks. Russ S.

I think paint by itself would be too soft to hold up to briars and normal wear and tear it would encounter in the field. Perhaps several coats of a dull lacquer might offer enough protection. Personally, I like the bedliner texture and durability so I continue to work with that.

Thanks MULLSKINNER, your comments help me to know when I am headed in the right direction. I do tune them myself and the spring and seal used are from the QF2 kit. Russ S. MULLSKINNER - 2006-06-16 7:28 PM

They do indeed. Not bad for a cheap little Chinese gun. Here is a more recent picture of the improved camo. Added some lighter highlights to improve the effect. Take care. Russ S.

I've read reviews concerning it and it is highly rated. I did quite a bit of research before experimenting with various camo configurations on the guns and the Predator camo came up quite often.

Predator and ASAT both look pretty easy to do depending on which version you go with. Personally, I like the Predator fall as it seems like it would be more flexible throughout the seasons.
I haven't actually seen any pictures of ASAT in the field so I can't judge how effective it is but it looks like it would work well.
