WARNING : DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU ARE WEAK AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO KEEP FROM PUSHING  ANY BUTTONS . Now for some numbers and my review. One word describes this rifle .SWEEEEEET.........I filled the rifle to approx. 2750psi and shot some thirty shot strings beginning with some 15.9g. JSB Exacts. Well to  begin with; since my manual was left out I turned the gun up all the way thinking I had turned it down. Mine is not loud to me at all on high and I have no problems shooting it in my backyard . My 18" barreled Talon on CO2 was louder IMO. And the speed, WOW ! the first couple of JSB went through the chrony at over 1000fps. I shot about 10 on high and it had dropped down into the high 950's ; way more fpe than I wanted . Once I figured out how to adjust it to where I was wanting , about 20fpe or a little less , that meant 725-750fps with the JSB's and 750-775 with some Beeman FTS at 14.6g. I refilled my tube and started to shoot again , I fine tuned on  my first two shots and got a third shot at 753.8fps and decided to start charting there. the next ten shots were a high of 753.8fps and a low 745.3fps. for an spread of only 8.5 fps.; the next ten shots were a high 749.0fps to 735.2 for spread  of 13.8fps  and the last 10 of my thirty shots 737.0 to 722.6 for 14.4fps and an over all spread of  31.2 fps for thirty shots.  Then I refilled and shot the Beeman FTS and the first ten shots  had a spread of only 5.5fps starting with a high of 763.6; the next ten had a spread of only 9.8fps followed up with a spread of 13.1fps for the next ten shots ; for an over all spread of 26fps.I went ahead and shot 10 more just to see what 40 shots would look like and I shot six shots before I dropped below 730fps  ;and four shots later and I was at 713fps which is still almost 16.5 fpe. I think with the Beeman pellets I can get 35-40 shots easy on a single fill .kirby :emoticon:

Sounds like an all around gun. Good fpe on high for long distance shoots. Looks like you found the sweet spot. I think 20 fpe at the muzzel will still get you around 12-13 fpe at 50 yards. Lets us know how she does in the field.

Ya it looks like the FTS Beeman's will give you the best number between fills. I have never tested my FX Cyclone .22, but I generally plink with it on low, and the numbers are geneally in the mid 700fps. I have always used the RWS Superdomes. I can get 40 good shots out of it and the gage is still showing around 2100 psi. I top it off at 2800psi and start over. Since I do not have a tank and use a hand pump I have never had the energy it takes to go through several fills for testing...Smiley

Your Air Arms S410H Classic is beautiful David and thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks Gene; Looks like you know the sweet spot for your Fx and it looks similar to my AA . The new AA are coming out with the  bolt like yours has . The price has gone up $150+ too. kirby

Yikes, David.... I was in shock the other day when I looked at the new prices on the FX Cyclone with wood..Smiley

It seems your S410H Classic in wood may be a tad cheaper.. Hmmmm

Thanks folks for the compliments  ! Except for a pump 1322 crosman , this is my only .22 I have and after shooting across the chrony so much today I realize a tin of .22's don't go nearly as far as a tin of .177's . And with a 10 round magazine , you can go through them in a hurry. Pushed that  order button and got 12  tins of those Beeman Field target specials on the way. Ordered  nine , got three free and 10% off too at Pyramyd.  I hope the squirrels like them . hehehe kirby

An accuracy report. I set up a wobbly old card table first at 30 yards and then at 40 . I used a Caldwell deadshot for the front and a cheap leather sand bag for the rear That had to hang half off the back of the table to shoot . I tried 5 or 6 types of pellets during my bench shooting ,and I even went inside and canceled an order for some Beeman Field target Specials that I had ordered last night because the one that shot the best today was the cheap Crosman Premier HP's that come 500 to a tin for $5.99 . After shooting from the bench at 30 and 40 yards , I shot a squirrel target from the F/T sitting/ hunting position at 30 yards and found I needed a couple of clicks left and I'll be ready for Saturday. Here's a couple of pictures of my bench targets and my hunter target . On the bench targets the 40 yarder is on the left and the 30 on the right. By the time I finished shooting at 11:15 am the heat index was already 97 ; How did we ever make it growing up without A/C in the south. Whew !! kirby :emoticon:
