Author Topic: Need some advice on a B20  (Read 630 times)

I'd like to accuracy tune my B20 and calm it down a bit.  I like the trigger and the handiness (although I may trim the wrist a bit).  But it bucks and twists because of its lite weight .  I'd like to do a home tune on it.  I've purchased some honda moly and cylinder hone and I have a good set of handtools.  I've downloaded some pages showing the basics.  I've been on JM site looking at what he offers and thats where my head starts to spin.  I'll get some heavy tar for the mainspring, but what else should I consider?  Should I replace the spring, seal etc., or make do with what I've got?  Accuracy is more important than power.  Accuracy makes my heart sing.

Here's one of the items you will need.

The seal would be up to you if you want to get a different seal. I installed the apex in my b26 and it does great.  I would replace it if damaged, like some of it is missing, or it's cracked.

one other thing you should look into is these....

The buttons make a big difference on way the piston slides in the compression tube. That is about all I can think of, maybe some of the others will chime in and add more .

The buttons are glued to the piston wall. When you remove the piston you will see where the piston rubs the inside of the chamber. that is where you put the buttons, it will align the piston inside the chamber more centered.  I have noticed it made my cock easier than before the buttons was installed.

any more questions just ask Smiley
