Cool  I have to say this is probably as good as it gets.

With winter in full swing here in New England  I've been buying a lot of pistols.  Although there is a lot to like about each one there is almost nothing to dislike when it comes to the CP88c.

The Competition model has a permanent 6" barrel inside a compensator looking end. I bought the blue without the wood grips. It is all metal except for the plastic grips. The bluing is polished the magazine is metal and the trigger is wide with the pull acceptable.

Aside from the somewhat heavy trigger I can't seem to find nothing but good things to say about this gun. The aim from it's Walther rifled barrel is excellent and consistent. The rear sight is adjustable while the front a ramp.

I did of course chrony it and the results were as published or better.

The heaviest pellets I shot were the 7g RWS Hobbys that crossed the chrony at 529.3.

Surprisingly the 6.5g Beeman lazers were only 457.9 fps and of course I had to fire some

5.1g Crosman Silver Eagle Wads that produced 553.4 fps.

The biggest surprise were the 8.26g Meisterklugelns at an average of 416.9fps. I expected less.

So for a gun that the factory claims 425fps I think is pretty honest. It's beautiful to look at heavy in a good way and shoots as straight as they come.  I don't own a Smith & Wesson  yet but I'll guess the only rec pistol as accurate or possibly more would be the S&W 6" revolver. Definetly when it comes to the S&W 8".

At close to $200 a pop I'm going to have to tone down my weekly purchases to maybe monthly. But it's worth it.

Good review Dan. You sure like dim Pistola's...Smiley I have looked at that model now for a while and what I like about it is it will 8 good shots at over 400 fps. How many shots do you get with one powerlet? I am thinking about selling my other three and buying one good co2 pistol for home protection...Smiley If it did not kill the buggers it sure would put the fear of God in them after I filled there butts with led...Smiley

I wasn't keeping track of how many shots per C02 cart. but I don't remember it being so few that it was notable. I'm sure it seemed like a lot compared to the 4-5 clips and your done Beretta PX4.
Greg I think this gun would put a world of hurt in anyone coming through my window and I hopefully wouldn't end up in court with a manslaughter charge. That is hopefully???  Plus there would be hardly any mess to clean up.

Point takin Dan. But you used the words "I think" and the word "hopefully". I will continue the rest of this in the "Back Room"  with the subject line of Home Invasion.

You shoot a home intruder with this thing and all you're going to do is *_*_*_*_*_* him off.  For home protection, get a shotgun and use #4 shot.  You want to make sure the mutant can never hurt anyone else again and you'll be doing society a favor by cleaning up the gene pool a bit.

As for the pistol, it is a nice shooter.  I have one in nickel without the "compensator."  It is very accurate and has enough energy to break beer bottles at 10 yards.
