A few of the GTA members finally meet up in South Carolina..Smiley After what seems like years a few of the GTA members finally get together for a perfect weekend of fun shooting and getting well aquainted with one another. My only regret was that it was only a few members instead of the whole GTA gang..Smiley But we managed to do enough shooting and talking to fill the weekend with allot of fun and happiness. Firts I will give you the name of the GTA members and wives that attended the get together. Mike aka Splash, and his wife Tiffani, Martin aka MartinDWhite, Gary aka Curioguy, BOb aka CDT, Gene, aka Gene_SC, Frits and Missy.. Bob and my miniature pinchers.. Took a few pictures myself and so did Tiffani.

We all brought and drug out our ladies to shoot. Everyone just past around ther favorites to each other to shoot and there sure were a lot of wow's and oh's going on...Smiley In perticular was Mike, aka Splash's home grown B-3 $20.00 Cummins special..Smiley I had the pleasure of holding, touching, eyeing and shooting it and I was amazed at how smooth and accurtate she was. You will see in a couple of the pictures how much detail was put into the exterior of the B-3. But for sure Mike has spent many hours refining the shooting cycle of this little tack driver. Then Mike brought out his thumbhole stock that was attached to a hunter action. A natural wood with teak oil rubbed in. It was very lite and erginomic. It sure fit me great. I could lay the hooked but into my shoulder and lay my cheek on the cheek well and my eye would be the perfect height for the scope. Fantastic job Mike and thanks for bringing it to show off. I want one...Smiley

Martin brought his CFX that was tuned by CDT which was a real sweety to shoot. And it seems Martin likes them Pistola's because he was hitting the spinning spoons at 35 yards with no problem. He will have to chime in on the models he was shooting. But one thing is for sure, Martin can sure shoot dim pistola's..Smiley

Then there was little bitty Tiffani, Mike's wife..Smiley She did not know what hit her. I asked Mike if she ever shoots at home and Mike said no. Never shot any of his air rifles. Well let me tell you, Tiffani is an natural with the air rifles. She was shooting our socks off..Smiley I know she went through at least a tin of pellets between 4 or 5 different air guns she was shooting. Shooting at different distances and hitting her mark consecutively...Smiley I think the Peak has met her match.. hehe

Gary akaCurioguy, showed up on Saturday and the shooting begain to get even better. We moved the targets all around again then started pasting up new targets. You can see in the pictures that there were at least a half dozen different targets scattered around the back yard. In the trees, bushes and on the ground..Smiley Gary begun shooting all the spinning spoons and worked his way over to the paint balls on tee's. We had some of the paint balls scattered on the ground that Mike had brought and on one of my stands as well, plus scatter blasters set in the ground in different places as well. Allot of moving targets such as golf balls, pieces of aluminum, spoons and other spinners scattered around. It was fun and we never run out of someting to shoot. Both days we shot till it was almost dark..Smiley Getting back to Gary aka Curioguy..Smiley We all kept him busy shooting all our air rifles we had there. Was like a fire and we were passing air rifles down to Gary to shoot instead of buckets of water to put the fire out..Smiley

All in all Iknow I had a fantastic time. I know I will always have fun at any shooting event. You just can not help it with good people to talk and shoot with. I will try and get the names on these pictures correctly..Smiley OH! and at the end of pictures there are 2 shots of Mike's B-3..Smiley

Thanks for the commentary and the pic's Gene...I'm sure you all had a great time.  I was thinking about making the run from Florida but the Mrs and I started taking Golf lessons and Saturday was our 2nd class of 6 we signed up for.  How far away was the shoot from Gainesville, FL 32608?  I'd love to make it to the next one.

All of you need to thank me for not showing up. If I had it'll rained for sure. LOL. Sorry guys next time. Looks like everybody had a good time , as I had expected they would. I did get to meet Mike aka Splash and his wife Tiffany. They stopped by Airgunning Atlanta on thier way home ; just as we were finishing up our match today . We only had 4 shooters today so the match went pretty quick. We need to do a little more planning for the next get together;  I hear maybe in early summer? kirby

That sounds like a really great time y'all had down there. I haven't been able to keep up with the forum for the last couple weeks like I should because of work and a few other things, so I pretty much missed the announcement (had to work most of yesterday so I'd have missed it anyway).

But I'll be keeping my eye out for the next one. Now I gotta start catching up on the posts I've neglected.

Wow...looks like everybody's having fun there.  Sorry to say...but we just don't have that kind of shooting get-togethers up here in Montreal, Quebec.

I told you it was not gonna rain! You guys have no idea how bad missing this killed me! As Gene says: names meet faces, I have been looking at faces of those I have yet to meet on the front page at Kliffs site for some time now! Just had a trip to N.C. last weekend, must admit this came up pretty quick& just could not afford the gas for "Big Red"! I did shoot my guns ALL weekend, posted some scores over at Kliffs. I swear everytime I got a "flyer" I could hear you guys laughing! During my weekend shoot I must admit I was there in spirit,I kept talking as though I was talking to you guys, "old timers" ya know! Lets plan the next one,I WILL not miss it! Glad you all had a great time! Next time you will have to put up with me,I will be there, GUARANTEED!! Tim. P.S. Need more than one pic.,,Again I see "Da Tuna" Where ya at Gene?Huh

Yankee,, is that a redneck airgun addict that lives a couple hundred miles north of me?? Anyone have plans to attend the Roanoke Airgun show this year?? Its a big one, seems to me its pretty centered to all here? Heh Heh!  Tim.

    Hey Tim buddy,

A YANKEE is someone born North of the Mason-Dixon Line.it But it mostly describes the fact that I have to live around Northern Liberals, while my heart belongs to Dixie ! It's hard to live around people with Cold Water in their vains, when you have Red Hot Fire running through yours. Smiley Perhaps someday I will escape, along with the other 50% of the Ex-New Jerseians that have excaped already ! FREEDOMMMMMMM !!!!!!

    Your buddy Bill

In Florida a Yankee is a Northerner that comes down here and stays a while then goes back but a Damn Yankee is a Northerner that comes down here and stays!  Contrary to some belief, Florida is in the SOUTH  :emoticon:

Thanks for having us Gene, Tiffani and I had a blast. Smiley  I put alot of love in that little B-3 carbine, bet she'll be real sweet when she gets lubed properly. Gene let me know which action you would like a stock for and I'll see if I can get the fit better than this one. I'll get the pics that Tiffani took reszed and add them here later today. Looking forward to the next shoot.
