How's everyone doing. Have had a busy week and a half of shooting. Set up the field targets in the yard ( see in the Albums), shot last Sunday Morning with a couple of the guys, jbruss and Mark Kauffmann, then shot Tuesday and Thurday nights to get ready for the FT match up in the mountains south of Flagstaff yesterday. Had 6 shooters on Thursday night at the house( Not revolvers, Jim Russell and Mark Kauffmann again from the GTA, Guy Zamudio and Rob from extreme north Phoenix, Shane Jacobs( Sure_Shot from other forums) and me. Lots of fun again.
Did a little better upo at the match this time as I had a chance to sight in the S1K for the altitude change and was able to "find my spot" . Last match in June, I couldn't and only shot 3/54. This time I got 12/48 with many splits or edge misses. Again had a fantastictime with a bunch of great shooters, 12 total including 3 ladies, one of whom tied for first in the PCP class with a 46/48. but lost in the best of 3 shootout 3/8" KZ at 22 yards( Sandy Corcorran, wife of former Nat'l/ FT champ Bobby. Steve Montgomery was the lucky winner. Match results will be post on the Green FT Forum, and perhaps here, when Mark Kauffmann get the report together.Keep shooting all!

Looks like a good time with friends.

1st Pics: Nice looking rifles.
2nd Pics: What is that space-age looking rifle?  Homemade?  What is it like to shoot?

It's a USFT, design and manufactured in the USA by Larry Durham and Tim MacMurray of MAC 1 Airguns to compete with and beat the Steyr, Anschutz , Feinwerkbau, and other dedicated FT rifles. I believe Paul Cray used one to win the 2007 US National Field Target Championship last month. Kind of loud, but extremely accurate, very easy to load as the breech is behind the scope as opposed to being under it. Steve Montgomery is the owner of this one and loves it.
