More photos of the fun shoot at Gene's will follow but first things first:

Thank you, thank you THANK YOU!!!  What a great day.

And why post this on the shop forum?  Well, in addition to a lot of fun shooting and matching names to faces (and airguns), there was some serious "shop" stuff going on.  Roger followed suit and with Tim's M's help, and now there is another 350 "Chopper" on the loose, complete with a custom muzzle brake from Gene.  Ever seen two guys with an electric cut-off saw chopping 6 inches off an air gun barrel and then re-crowning the chopped barrel with an electric drill on the tail-gate of a pick-up while sipping adult beverages under a shade tree?  Ever seen a grown man giggle when he shoots?  Take a look at Roger's new "Chopper. It shoots great.

Gene was kind enough to machine me a camera-to-gun rest adaptor for my tripod.  Simple, right?  But  I can tell you this was absolutely great to shoot from! From now on, I can forget lugging a shooting bench to future get togethers.  I'm cranking back in my Coleman chair with the cup holder, setting my pellets on my cooler and shooting from my new camera tripod bench rest.  Gene:  you must add this to your regular product line!  People will want this.

And finally CDT, AKA Bob chucked up my Cree light in Gene's lathe and  viola!  The 2250-XT is now tactical!  Got the stainless steel version of the Cree light at dealextreme.com.  Check out the photo.  I think it is plenty bright out to about 25-30 yards to shoot the the scope in complete darkness.  More to follow about Gene's gathering.  I had a wonderful time today.  Thanks again.

Pure genius, who would have thought a camera tripod. Now that's the beauty of simplicity.

Reuben:
Can't claim the genius award.  Did you see what Roger is shooting off of in the picture of his chopper?  Roger gave me the idea.  His is just attached with Velcro.  Gene was kind enough to machine the bar stock cut to length, smooth the edges and tap it with the right thread for a camera mount on a tripod.  Think I am going to "order" one for my brother, Jerry if Gene is still willing to make a few more for profit.  How about it Gene?  It sure works well.

I'm gonna steal that tripod rest idea!!!!!!!
Wife said I could of gone as long as I was home for dinner. Hmmm, R.I. to S.C, how fast can I drive?
: Lotta fun . . .

Tim, Gene and Brian had the 'shed side' pretty well covered, while some weird guy in a whiteBlazer shirt kept showing up in the pictures holding a Daisy 953 converted to match or the most killingest bbgun there, the venerable blonde CdT tuned Daisy120 with an ARH Merlin spring.
`
Several IZH 46 as well as Jon with the Daystate CRX topped with an 8x32Optisan MTC viper, while Dave shot the custom12fpe Air Arms rigs.
`
On to some pics . . .
: Chopped up bbguns can be fun . . .

Rodger seemed to enjoy the chopped 350, while Ruby, Beth and Tom all seemed to enjoy plinking paintballs and spoon swingers . . .
`
TCups had some bbguns there that he seems to be enjoying, and CdT just did a bit of relaxing while he wasn't working in the shop to fix up the slip fit light for Doc TCups . . .

Hope everyone enjoyed the shoot, I know I did. We met a lot of new people and were able to shot several different airguns. I Think eveyone had a great time including our youngest shooter Ruth.  Gene even grilled us up some burgers, hotdogs & brats with all the fixens: potato salad, baked beans, chips & cold softdrinks & ice tea.
Thanks for the great day & the great chats that went on through out the day!!
