shoot for a while and then figure it out?  Now that winter has set in, I have only a 10m  system. I want to have it set for spring time  and accurate at 30/40yds.  Let's talk about my problem!

I know, send it to me, no more problem:)

Honestly though, it would seem in my mind that you could get it close using hold over techniques?  And how long does it take to really tighten it up once you get it close?  If I can get a gun to group, I can usually move the group to where I want it within 10 minutes or so.  Now if it doesn't group well at all, then there's other problems...or I drank too much coffee.  I'm in a bit of the same rut right now, I love shooting CO2 guns, but it's cold outside and they get useless in this weather.  I have a low powered springer or 4, but they lack in other areas, like power, performance, and size(my favorite springer is almost a youth model).
