Hey Randall... are you serious.... grill shrimp on a stick. I'm a bit confused. :o  Do you mean that you hollow out a stick and put them inside or do you mean that you skewer them on a stick.:0   Around here we gotta grill them on tooth picks or a lenght of thin wire.  :p   And I do love dem shrimps...lol... 8)

Hey Mike,

There isn't any camping on site, but "sometime soon" we should have some local campsites found and added to this thread.  Would love to add more folks to the shootout, it's a wonderful place to shoot.

Hey, Dan, mostly idle curiosity, but do you have any idea of a head count yet?  Count me in, although I'm going to have a terrible time deciding which rifles to bring now :-).  I wonder if I can squeeze 4 guns into my 2 gun case?  Later.

One of the local guys is bringing at least one 6K psi nitrogen cylinder, should be able to feed a lot of PCP's for quite awhile :-).  Trust me, all your PCP's will like running on nitrogen.  I was figuring that you, Bob, and Ed would just rent a Uhaul to load all your guns in and drive down :-).  Later.

LOL Dave.. Bob and me are flying and I do not know if Ed is coming  yet. That is good news so I can bring at least one PCP. Was just gonna bring two guns total and Bob will probably not bring any. I now have to find a good sturdy case for my two air guns.

This is the one I got, Gene, and where I got it: http://tradingpostsupply.com/skb5009.html  Did some checking around, I think these guys had the best price at the time, that may have changed since then.  It's a really nice case, and is TSA approved.  What's more, Alaska Air didn't even charge me for an oversize bag when I checked it.  They also have a 4 gun version, at the moment, I'm wishing I had that one :-).  Later.

Camping areas at Lake Benbrook (Corps of Engineers Lake) are within about five miles of the Shootout site. See:
http://www.swf-wc.usace.army.mil/benbrook/Recreation/Camping/index.asp

I reviewed the hotels nearby, and my judgment is that this is the best one (Tommy has reservations):

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Fort Worth-West (I-30)?

Reasons to come to the NTAGM shoot
« Reply #59 on: February 08, 2009, 10:33:41 AM »
You can see the King Tut exhibit while you are here.
http://www.kingtut.org/home
I understand this is quite an exhibit, produced by National Geographic magazine, in downtown Dallas.

You could go to a Jimmy Buffett concert in Frisco Saturday (Frisco is an exurb NW of Dallas this is about 56 miles from the shoot), the concert is at a nice big monor league baseball park, good venue.
Tickets for this go on sale Monday, February 9.
http://www.buffettworld.com/

It's going to be fun. Count on it.

We can expect good weather (no promises).

Great place to shoot (I promise).

Big name airgun gurus from all over will be there (I promise). Mike Melick may eventually decide he has to come, he could drive down to Houston and get a load of those new BAM's. We could all save shipping (no promises).
