I'm new to the PCP airgun world.....but I've read that Hill pumps are one of the best.  I have one of them....and a BSA one....which is a Hill pump, just re-badged.  Even then, the instruction manual suggest that you pump 50 strokes (Take 2 to 3 seconds per stroke....so no rushing) and give the pump a 5 minute or so rest....so it doesn't heat up...which I guess will ruin the seals over time....and might cause condensation (Not good for the air reservoir in the airgun).
