dealings with PryamydAir
« on: September 10, 2009, 04:08:30 AM »
I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this but here goes:
Has anyone had any problems dealing with PryamydAir? I've tried calling their CS rep several times over the last 2 1/2 months using the number posted on their site and have gotten this same message each time: "the number you've called is discontinued or not in service. Try again" Same problem after trying often at different times of the day, so I sent an email. If you're familiar with their email policy, they say they will send a conformation to you that they received your email and if you don't get that conformation, they didn't get yours and you should re-send it. Just one time have I ever received a conformation for anything I've sent, after emailing them many times, I finally received a reply stating they had had a power outage in mid-June. I just tried calling again an hour ago and got the same message that the number wasn't in service.
I've also had nothing but trouble trying to return products that didn't work. I'm not trying to bash this company but it seems to be a strange way to do business...no customer service phone number that works...won't acknowlege emails and will not answer the ones you send and difficulty returning products. Has anyone else dealt with them? Any problems at all? What kind of experiences have you had with them? I'm at a loss.I just can't get through to anyone there. I'd like to hear some feedback about them...good and/or bad.

that's the number I have tried...many times.  All I get is an announcemt that it is disconnected or out of service. Over several weeks at different times of day, I get the same message.

Yeah...somthin aint right Clip. I've bought from Pyramyd at least 10~15 times. Had to return one airgun that was defective, got right thru, and was refunded my money after I returned said product. Worst thats happened to me was that I had to leave a message on their recorder, and my order of .25 Kodiaks took like 6 months to get.

The only thing I can think of is maybe you typed in the wrong# to begin with and now you are using the redial function of your phone? Also I would try with both a landline and a cell phone. On my landlines, I get similar messages if I forget to dial a 1 before the rest of the #.

I have had no problem getting through, have dealt with them many times and great to deal with. I have spoken to customer service twice before ..did not make me feel like just another  number:) I even emailed with a suggestion on not stacking pellet tins to high and different diameter tins as is was denting the lids when the mail service would drop the box so to speak, they emailed me to thank me:) It is quite odd that you can not get through... maybe you phone is one  you have to dial a 9 to get a line then dial 1 and the number is only thing that comes to mind? wish I could help more.  IMO they are good to deal with http://www.pyramydair.com/  Tony.

I don't think my phone is the problem..I've tried my cell, my wife's cell and and my land line with the same results. I've made double sure that I've touched the right numbers into the keypad when I dialed and I've never had to hit 9 to get a number from any of my phones. I just don't get it.I don't think I have a bad reputation that's getting out..(you know, nobody wants to talk to me..LOL..). Anyway, it's becoming very frustrating trying to spend a little money with them. All I wanted was some advice on a scope I planned on buying from them.

I've bought several guns from them and never had a problem until this last time. I called their customer service line and had to wait longer than I thought I should but, I got thru and the lady I spoke to was very nice and was very helpful with my problem and set up the exchange for the defects parts and everything was smooth as silk. I hate to say it but any problems getting in contact with them is on your end, not theirs.

Being new to Air Guns I found Pryamys Air and used their site for researching several guns. Although I did not purchase my first choice through them I felt I would use them going fwrd. Well, my first purchase was a dual barell (.177 & .22). THe gun had problems with the set screw holding the barells tight. I returned it and began researching. I also posted a review on Pryamyd's site of that gun. Well a week later they sent me an emil saying my review was pulled and rejected because I returned the gun ???????  So if you have an issue with a gun and return it NO ONE WILL KNOW!!! So now I do not believe in the reviewes on PryamydAir's site as it will not give me the ones where people have had issues but did not keep the gun. So how do you know is the gun has a 9 out of 10 failure rate????
