1 piece scope mount for QB79
« on: September 16, 2009, 03:02:42 PM »

1" full size integral ring mount high profile, these are the ones I have.

I have a set of the leapers 1 piece ring mounts, there the high profile ones. I also have the leapers 4x32 UTG AO scope

I never put them on my B25, so I decided to see how this set up would look like on my QB79....TOO HIGH!...

So I went looking on the Archer web site and came across these.

 http://www.archerairguns.com/Leapers-Compact-Integral-Mount-p/lacim.htm

Should this resolve my problem?

Are these going to be ok with the scope I have.?

Please chime in if you are familiar with these set ups and can give me some advice.

Thank you folks, any info will be appreciated.

You may end up with a problem with trying to load the rifle with that scope & mount.  That mount was made for the BugBuster compact scope.

With that mount, the rings will be right next to the scopes adjustment turrets. So when the whole assembly is mounted, you have to move the whole thing to adjust for eye relief. And if your preference for eye relief is anything like mine, that'll put the mount right over the loading port.

Thanks Sdale, Im gonna butch up and use the set up I have. I'll have to get use to not planting my cheek like im use too.

I am going to put it back on the rifle, but not add any blue lic-tite so in the future ,I may run into the perfect mounts.

Thanks again Sdale

edit: I need a cheek welld to shoot. im going to check pyramid air's web site. Its just way too high.I have to consider my big @zz scope and i have a full barrel shroud.Hmmmm, I'll figure something out.

Not a problem!

You don't really need a 1 piece mount on a CO2 gun, unless it's for the look. I have a Leapers 3-9x32AO scope and these mounts on my 79 and they're perfect:

Nice rugged set of mounts. VERY Solid. The rear ring also comes with a threadded stop pin if you decide to mount them on a springer. I had the same scope/mounts on a heavy recoiling untuned Quest 800 and didn't have any creep.

I live like 5 minutes from this place.Ill check them out and post about the place tomorrow.

Looks like they have both styles,1 piece and the traditional 2 piece mounts.
