Rain
« on: October 13, 2009, 01:40:41 AM »
It has rained so much lately that the seeds in the bird feeders are sprouting and plants are growing.   I saw a squirrel with moss growing on his back.
The sidewalks are turning  green from the stuff growing on it.  And where they are not green they are turning  black.
I am sick of the rain.  And more is coming.

And to make matters worse, the stupid girl that does the local weather report on the radio said and I quote, "We need the rain".  This after Atlanta has seen flooding for the second time in less than a month.  She must own lake front property at Clark Hill.

Gentleman of Fortune.

Hum-bug!

I hear ya' - we have "weather folks" standing on street corners now when there's only 3"-4" of snow due, - asking folks how they're going cope with the storm. Hello, - a generation ago that wouldn't get a mention as "news" - now everyone's supposed to run out and buy batteries, extra water etc., etc. - and hunker down.  It's become unbelievable ...

Mike; Not to bring more bad news as I live just south of the big "A" in Ga. ; But one of the more respected weather guys said yesterday , we can expect a storm every 3-4 days right strait through winter . I feel the way you do ; I think we've had enough for now or at least hope for it be spread out a little better . It seems there's no middle ground , either drought or floods . kirby
