crosman destroyers
« on: November 22, 2009, 03:20:54 PM »
i picked up a tin of destroyers last night at dicks sporting goods, they were 7.00 bucks for 250. kind of pricey especialy when you can get 500 CPHP's for the same price.
anyways after reading about them i had to try them. upon my initial inspection i noticed that they were very clean compared to other crosman pellets. i had no deformities and
the seems were extremely smooth. after comparing abuot 20 of them they had good uniformity. i use a g1 extreme and anyone who uses this rifal knows that it is extremely
picky about pellets.  i have heard alot of people mentioning how these pellets fit loosely in their barrels which is true but there is an easy fix. i use the allen wrench that i adjust
my scope with to seat my pellets into the barrel. its marked so that they are placed at the same depth every time. this increased my accuracy in a big way. speaking of accuracy
these pellets are right on the money out to about 40 yrds. good penatration along with expansion and they hit hard with good velocity. these pellets are a keeper for me and
i recomend that anyone looking for a well made multy purpose pellet to give them a try i think you will be suprised. good luck!

havnt had a chance to hunt with them yet. what do you feel their max distance is with effectiveness for a kill. and what type of rifle do you use.

Yea they are accurate pellets but they don't travel as straight a trajectory as the CPHP's  or Field points,  out to 35-40 yds they shoot alot lower than others

My QB78 loves these bad boys.  The expansion and penetration is awesome.  I shot at one of my low quality GI JOE figures and the pellet penetrated the thick rubber leg by just over the length of the pellet itself.  The only pellets that can match that kind of penetration on the same surface are the Predator Pellets.
