best way to scope a 78
« on: February 07, 2010, 01:24:24 PM »
I finally got my TechForce78 Gold Series that is my new project gun, Im gonna send it in to Mike Melick for a tune to get the power up to snuff, I have already ordered a custom stock for it from Richards Microfit, and bought a scope for it,(a BSA 3x12x44) but the scope I bought has a 44 mm objective on it and the only rings i could find locally to fit the gun were Millet 11mm rings which are great rings but arent high enough to keep the objective off the barrel enough to adjust the objective and its a pain in the rear to load too, so im needing a way to get the scope up higher which would allow me to adjust the front objective and also aid in ease of loading, the question i have is would a highrise breech be a better way to go or just look for a higher set of rings?
Mike Melick tuned Bam B26,with  Leapers 4x16x40ao scope,Gene turbo tuned TF89 with Barska 3X12X40A0 scope and More powder burners than you can shake a stick at.                  Gun control is hitting what your aiming at

we used inexpensive 3/8-11mm to weaver adapters with millet medium height mounts. this is a 50MM objective, it clears w/o issue and loading is a breeze.
