Hey guys, I'm trying to put together a "quick and dirty" SCBA to paintball style filler. I got myself a SCBA (NOT SCUBA!!!!) 4500 PSI tank with about 7 years left (per the DOT), and want to use it to fill my Sumatra (I'm putting on the foster quick connect fitting as soon as that arrives). Being a broke-ass college student, as much as I admire Joe's beautifully put together harnesses, I would be irresponsible not to try to do it cheaper, and get the sense of accomplishment from doing it myself. I'll be honest though, if I had it to do over again, I would have purchased one of Joe's tanks and the fill harness as a single package so I could be absolutely confident it would all work. Ah well, live and learn. SO, where can I find the fittings? I'm going to need the CGA 347 fitting, plus a way to bleed the hose, and the foster (female) quick disconnect and probably some hose, a pressure gauge wouldn't hurt but my Sumatra does have one built in (by the way, anyone know the threads on the built-in pressure gauge on the Sumatra? I might want to upgrade at some point). I'll also need a male-to-male foster fitting for filling up at the paintball shop (significantly cheaper than the fire safety supply place AND close to my school!).
Any suggestions guys? Saving money and learning to do it myself is good, but safety is important too!
