Replacing fill valve
« on: April 07, 2010, 01:00:09 AM »
The fill valve has started to leak periodically when I fill my rifle from a scuba tank.  I am going to order a complete replace valve from Crosman but wanted to find out if anyone here had replaced this part and if any special tools are needed?

I know I need to drain the air resevior and I am ordering the complete assembly for the end (fill nipple and part that goes into the end of the tube), is this screwed into the tube?  Fairly easy to unscrew and remove?  Or will I need something special to hold the tube while trying to break it loose???

Thanks,
DonTMN

I've done it on mine.
Easy job actually. You'll need two wrenches. One to loosen the valve and one to hold the part it's screwed into. The new valve comes wrapped with teflontape, so you simply screw the new one in after removing the old one.I only changed the fillniple + insert though.
Mine had started rusting.
