Leapers vs. Centerpoint Optic quality...
« on: April 22, 2010, 01:46:31 AM »
Looking at the 3.-12x44 in Leapers and Centerpoint.  Same features, but the Centerpoint is about $50 more.  On top of that, I have found a Leapers version for about $100 shipped.  Can anyone comment on the lense quality?

I have a Centerpoint 3x9x50 scope that I like better than a Leapers that came on my RWS 34.  The Centerpoint is clearer to me and once I zeroed it, it stayed zeroed.

Tom, I know this is subjective but would you pay 25% more for it?  Is the glass that much better?

I would, but that's just me.  I have it on a Remington NPSS .22 and I haven't had the first sign of a problem with it.  It's up to you what you buy, but I just  like my Centerpoint.
