Need help with a custom stock on a disco?
« on: April 24, 2010, 01:29:59 PM »
I have built a disco pistol and it works great.
I also ordered a crosman shoulder stock to go with it just in case I wanted to use it like a rifle.
Well now I need help trying to figure out how to put forearm on the disco pressure tube.
All I have now is just the tube with the guage sticking down.
Nothing else.
I would like to make a wooden one that would be a little on the wide side at the bottom where my hand would grip
and then smaller close to the top where the pressure tube would fit in a half circle cutout.
Of coarse it would have the hole drilled for the guage.
But just having a tough time trying to picture how I can mount it to the gun without scratching or getting anything sticky on the pressure tube.
I've read where some used double sided tape, but I would rather not do that if I dont' have to.
Any info from you fellows would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ray

Ray when I changed my discovery over I did away with the gauge and bought a bushing from Mountain air to plug the tube . Used a 2250 forearm that attaches to the front trigger housing screw by way of a little metal tab . I bought the forearm screw and tab from crosman . You could do the same type of mounting and use a custom forearm . I asked Timmy if he would ever consider making forearms in his duplicator but I never heard back from him .Marvin

Yeah, I thought of that after doing some post searching.
The only thing is, I want a longer forearm than a stock 2250.
And I sorta like the guage being on the gun and letting me know the pressure level.
Cause I hate counting shots!!! ha ha ha
Thanks Ray

Why not drill and tap a couple of barrel bands, that way you could kill 2 birds with one stone.
