Rifle valuation question
« on: May 07, 2010, 07:53:09 AM »

Ran across an ad where a guy wants to sell off some older .22LR match rifles.  He doesn't know what he should charge so I'm trying to discern value.  I see some auctions upwards of $1000 but these are pretty beat up examples.  They are Anschutz 1413 Super Match 54's.  Let me know what you think if they are even worthwhile.

You need to research/determine which ones they are...Anschutz/Savage or....Savage/Anshultz....actions were different....

Some "Anschütz-Savage" rifles have made their way into the U.S. While somewhat rare, these rifles are typically based on the Savage Model 110 action. They are not as desirable as those "Savage-Anschütz" marked rifles utilizing the superior Anschütz actions.

Difference in price may be substantial...also,the Anshultz benchrest stock adds to value...

Grading/prices...for top of line Anschultz 1413

Grading 100% 98% 95% 90% 80% 70% 60% 50% 40% 30% 20% 10%
.........$725 $650 $550 $475 $420 $375 $325

If it is truly an Anschutz 54 action, they are highly sought after and bring a pretty good price.  Don't own an Anschutz (yet).  Check out the Rimfirecentral.com forum in the Anschutz section and you will get good advice.
