In an earlier post you wanted comments on the forum performance.  Last night I had trouble just getting on. Got page cannot be displayed. When I did get on I could not navigate to another gate. Would get the same message. Even when I would want to go to a reply to a post, the same message. I was limited to just the first page that opened when I signed on. I finally gave up. Was going to post this message last night but could not do that..

Couldn't get on from Brad's link this morning. Had to close the browser and try again, this time successfully.

same thing just different day,  this has been going on for weeks seems like someone could fix it, its starting to hurt this forum people will be looking elsewhere.  thanks david

I forgot to mention that I did get a 500 error a few times.. it said http 500 error.. maybe will help...Frank

I searched Google and it comes up with troubleshooting steps from MS.... mentions upgrading some software...

Same here. I think the server people did an "upgrade" Kinda makes you wonder what that term really means

It is our Provider. Not the forum or software that runs it.. We are experiencing the backlash of a major surver changover. I am looking into changing providers now.

What a drag being forced to look elsewhere for hosting services.  
Hopefully it will end up being win-win.  Lower costs - higher availability.

That reminds me:  I'm years overdue on making sure I"m not getting ripped off on my home owners insurance. I gotta go through the hassle of getting quotes from other providers - comparison - blah blah.  In this case, I need to force myself!!!!!

I'd rather Tune/Shoot/Surf.  :-)

Be sure you can transfer the whole site. Don't want to lose anything. If anyone can remember Shooters Talk, a really huge site covering rimfires, centerfires, schuetzen, air rifles, etc, they lost everything when their server pulled the plug and they could not find another in time.

Hey gang... we know there is a server problem and Gene has been struggling with the people trying to get it straightened out.  :o   He is now as a last resort looking for another server host. This has been a real pain in the rear. Please hang in there. Gene is pulling his hair out trying to get this thing resolved.   :0

We are not going anywhere else, just hanging in there hoping for better and know it will be.  I am sure they have enough information now so we can ease it up. We are not complaining, just trying to help...
