.177 or .20 or .22 caliber
« on: July 16, 2006, 01:46:42 PM »
I have a small problem. I have a gun in every caliber listed. The problem I'm having is which gun should I shoot more and which gun should I put up or sale.

The .177 is a TF79 with target stock, modified vale, drilled bolt probe, bulk fill. 739 fps

The .20 is my converted QB-78 stock valve, bolt probed.  600 fps haven't chronied it yet, after the probe install
The 22 is my B 26-2 rws spring, and custom lube, Just ask and I will tell you what it is. 620 fps

Which one would you shoot and which one would you put up or sale.

HELP :)

Since I only punch paper and soda/beer cans and I shoot a lot, I prefer the .177 caliber.  I do have 2 .22s, a steroid benji and a Webley Longbow, and although they are very accurate, they don't get shot nearly as much as my other guns.  If it were me, I would shed the .20 and the .22, but I couldn't part with my benji or my Longbow.  Everything else I have is 0.177.  The pellets are much cheaper if you shoot a bunch.  I mainly just shoot the cheap Crosman Premier wadcutters.

That's a nice selection.  I have a simple solution.....you send them to me, I will shoot them for a month and send you back the best one....unless of course they are all the best one, in which case I will not send any back and you wont have to worry about it ever again.  Deal?

Oh yea, almost forgot, in return you'll get the satisfaction of knowing EXXXACTLY which gun is best.

I am looking now for a .20 cal, but I have three QB's already.. .177, .22 and .25.. I have been seriously looking at a PCP "Eun Jin Sumatra".. in a .20 cal. It is a tad heavy though. I would like a FX Cyclone Synthetic but it does not have the power and I don't think it is made in a .20 cal.....

So Wallis we have it so tough with these decisions don't we... :)

That we do gene, the decision has been made tho. I am unable to get the 20 caliber to stabalize, some times I get great FPS then low fps. I think I need the QB79t model, so I can attach a tank and not worry about bulking.
