Daisy Powerline 853 10m
« on: July 02, 2008, 01:08:25 PM »
Well I'm not the best at writing better at speaking but here it goes. I picked this gun up from a pile of guns that came in to the shop from a widow. I looked it over offered her a price and she agreed. I took her home put a couple rounds through her and set her down till the next night. I got home last night and broke her out again set a target at 7 yards and went to work. Got the front sight adjusted adjusted still needs a bit more and adjusted the rear sight. I started by putting a 3/8" black dot on white paper and dailed her in. The cocking effort is minimal. The bolt functions very easily. The trigger is heavy but predictable. The more I shot it the easier it was to get the feel of the trigger. The firing cycle is very mild. I would venture to say it could be concidered as recoiless. You could shoot this gun all day and never get worn out. It is a great gun to shoot inside as it is not very loud. The impact in the trap is louder than the shot. I was only able to shoot the cheap Peak pellets but the worked just fine. I would have liked to try some R-10's to see if they would have made a difference. I would say if you are looking for a entry level single stroke nuematic 10m gun I would put this on your list. Here is a pic of the target I shot last night. :)

Jason, thanks for the review. Now I know I want this puppy real bad. I do a lot of shooting in my garage (got the holes in the walls to prove it) so the 853 will fill the bill just fine. I also have several thousand Peak pellets for it to digest. I hope that I got my PM in on time.
