: First Kill with the Crosman 1377c
: longislandhunter October 23, 2006, 09:07:56 AM
My wife was at work, daughter was at school, which left me home all alone with no "witnesses".  I think I've mentioned that my wife has a whole bunch of bird feeders in the backyard and she feeds them constantly, however the wife has designated my yard as an official "no kill" zone, so I have to sit there and watch flocks of birds snubbing their beaks at me.

Anyway, around 2 pm I had nothing to do so I took the 1377c out and was popping a tin can near my wood pile when I looked up and saw a starling sitting high up in one of the trees, about 15 yards up.  I figured the only living creature at home who would see my actions would be the cats, and they certainly won't care, so I put the red dot on his chest, pulled the trigger and thwack, fell to the ground like a sack of nickels.  The Gamo rocket went through the wing and put a good sized hole in the chest.

Now I was psyched.  I threw out some more bird seed, sat on the deck and waited.  Sure enough, within 10 minutes another starling, in the same tree about the same distance.  Once again the Gamo Rocket hit home and there was another dead starling on the ground.  Was getting close to the time the daughter gets home from college so I disposed of the birds, wiped off the 1377c and put it back in the gun safe.  I love that little pistol, especially now that I have the carbine stock on it.

Yea you would be with pics of your quarry on the outside table...Hmmm...This is starting to sound like the begins of a blackmail scheme...LOL...
Don't worry....I believe that most of us would be in "it" deep if the wives started to read this forum..LOL.

Man, ain't that the truth!  Mine still has no idea of what the total cost of my air gun escapades have been to date.  Maybe best if we just keep the wives out of the loop as much as possible.

You guys are lucky,,,,,since my job is a civil service position  the salary information is available to the taxpaying public and to make matters worse my wife is an accountant, an extremely good one at that !!  Any way you look at it I get "busted" everytime I try to do some "creative" airgun financing :(

I worked for the City government and after five years they gave longevity pay every December and June, Five years got you $250 each six months and it went up every year after that.

When I divorced I told the ex wife about the longevity pay, and when we divorced it was over $800 every six months. She was not too happy about that, but she understood how I could afford some of my toys, she was just mad that she didn’t get her hands on any of it.

It never showed up because it was a seperate pay check.

She was kinda a Dumb blonde any way.
