I have read about Fix's great work on the breech issues on the quest variant guns, i was wondering if a countersink on the left side would be a good or bad idea since its self-centering with Zero play side to side on the shouler itself.  What do you guys think?
Am i missing something paul?

I would almost say 'go for it'. That would tend to pull the forks together for a tighter squeeze on the stock bushings. I think the 'fix' has it's advantages due to the bronze thrust washers and that they are fitted to a milled pocket on either side of the breech. I think the countersunk screw is a good idea as long as you matched the pivot bushing to the screw you are using. Let us know how it works out for you.

lol i dont have the tooling, time or money to do this myself, i was hoping to see some pro/cons here, maybe in a few months send my gun to Fix to have him Fixx it! I was thinking everything would remain the same with the breech and thrust washers, only change would be the countersunk hole for the bolt, which would be a Swiss jewelers fit to the breech bushing.

Yeah i was thinking that too when i slept on it, it would have to be a fairly narrow angle to avoid the problems you mentioned. I would still like to see it tried tho. maybe when i can scrape up some cash we can experiment on mine!
