I ordered a pack of replacement barrel seals for my Whisper and was informed (by Gamo) to order the large seals
The seals I received are 3 times bigger than the seal that came out of my Whisper
the measurement of the seal I need replaced is 7/16 wide x 1/8 thick the seals I received are 9/16 wide x 3/8 thick.
What size do I order? all gamo has is small medium and large

Hello Darren :)
You couldn't tell me what " bump the post" means ? Sorry Paul I need someone to break it down for me :)

Well Dave
Its like this...
I have no idea what bump the post means?? If you find out let me know!
I'm still trying to find out what size barrel seal I need.
No measurements just small medium or large and a customer service that don't know
She told me to send back the one she said would fit (which didn't) and get the smaller one but she isn't sure it will fit ether
I'm really going to consider a different brand with my next air gun purchase

Also known as the breech seal. The Gamo size Medium is what fits the Whisper. I have all three sizes here at home with me. I bought all three sizes so that I would be prepared for any breech seal emergency that came my way. I verified that the Medium is the right size for the Whisper by replacing it. I hadmarked my packages as for the guns they fit, so buy the mediums with confidence...I am 100% sure. I dont know why the Gamo site references the size large as fitting the Whisper, that is wrong. I'll see if I can report that to them.

I did report the mistake to Gamo by Email...so we'll see if they correct the problem.
-
Hey thanks Paul that makes sense now. Sorry Darren I tend to wander off someone's post without meaning to:)

HI....Why do you need to get one from Gamo...Can't you fined one at a bearring/seal outlet.
Buying bearings/seals & O rings from a product manfacturer will cost you more $ and time after all I bet
Gamo don't make there own O rings / seals etc they get them from the same place as the
engineering surply shops do.
As long as you know the - Dia / section thickness / section shape
After all pull a car engine apart and you won't fined Ford Chev Nissan Toyota stamped on the berrings / seals etc
more lightly to have SKF NTN Fag stamped on them

Because its easier to pay ten bucks for 4. Its not a standard size oring...its not really an oring at all. If I ever find the right size tubing then I wont have to buy any more. 4 lasts for a long long time(years).
