First I hope Jeff had a successful night hunt, after that raccoon. It was another peaceful clear night that I spent in the wood's, just relaxing against my lookout tree and waiting for the arrival of the night scavengers. 10:30 came and suddenly I heard movement in the leaves not twenty feet from me and you can't see nothing out there at night. Just great I'm being stalked I thought so I slowly put my baby in the direction of the sound and waited. The sound moved away from me and I scanned the area where the yard light from the house shines out onto the open grassy area to the treeline and that's when I spotted him. He was making his way across the lawn and headed for the house but stopped at about fifteen yards to look back in my direction, I'm out here waiting for you I thought. He didn't move but just continued to look my way so having the darkness of the night on my side now I slid down onto my stomach and setup for a sniper shot. He was giving me a funky profile to set the crosshairs on , not a front profile or full side one and he just wouldn't move. Ok then I see your one eye reflecting some so I'll just put em on that, laser flashed on his eye and lamp's on with a touch. Predator "HAMMERS" him hard and he go's into max twisting and rolling in the grass. After three minutes of watching him from a safe distance I got up and approached slowly, reloaded and ready for anything. This guy took it hard, the Predator had found it's mark right where I placed crosshair's and laser. It had removed his eye as it entered his skull and once inside did some major damage as you can see from the color RED!. Seventeen yards from my sniping local to first impact, he rolled another three yard's further which helped since it was closer to my rig lol. The CFX.22 is a very capable hunter and I told her that as I layed her next to her harvest for a couple pic's for my GTA hunt buddy's . There's just something about a night hunt that keep's drawing me back, the darkness, you and whatever the night may bring.:) Ed

Thanks airbud hunters and Jeff I'm sure he'll be back if you baited em, their night schedule varies some but I'm setup just before dark and the action start's from about 9:00pm till the wee hours of the morning. You may even get a Possum in too, they also like the kittyfood.Ed

I don't think an eye patch is gunna fix that Ed.. Wow great shootin..and pics.
-
Thank's Randall, nope eye patch won't work hehehe and I'm darn sure that the Predator traveled through his skull and lodged somewhere in his throat from the amount of blood that was exiting out his mouth. Ed

Great job Ed! Can we call you the "night stalker"? hehehe
You must have been very hard to spot. He was probably looking at your direction wondering what you were.
Good shot and great pics!! That Predator really did a number on him.

Thanks Harry, I do wear my camo at night too and he knew that there was something out there but couldn't pinpoint it. Just call me Shadow or lack of one in the pitch black of the woods hehehe. Ed

Possum stew, coonpfeffer, sounds like a small game cookout in the making.
