: Vulcan Takes First Kill

This is the story...I had been cleaning out the Lanaitoday and went in for lunch. When I went back to finish the project I spotted two acorns sitting just inside the open door...Hmmmm...Now I know they weren't there before 'cause I had just swept that floor twice so I figured somebody was thinking about setting up a cache in there so I peeked out the door and who do you think I saw? You guessed it, Mr. Nutter was on the lawn about 15yds out picking up nuts. Well, I went back in the house and picked up the Vulcan and dropped a Gamo Match Diabolo in her and went back to the Lanai. Mr. Nutter was kind to wait for me so I set the scope and from an un-restedfree standing position I took aim and pulled the trigger. He went down, thrashed for a moment and went to sleep.

The nutter`s first mistake was leaving a trail of bread crumbs (Acorns) and then didn`t split after you arrived.  Very excellent un-rested free-hand shooting.  How far was the squirrel?
