Hi, I'm new here and new to airgunning. I just purchased a Benjamin Discovery in .22 cal. Mounted a Bushnell Legend 5-15X40 Mil Dot scope. Went out yesterday and kind of sighted it in off a shaky rest. I got it shooting about an inch at 46 yards. I was getting late so I went looking for a ground squirrel. One showed it's head and neck at 40-45 yards. The JSB pellet didn't even let it flinch.
I need to get on a good bench and see what it is capable of.
I am glad I found this forum. Lots of good information. Thanks.

Hey'ya Rod! Nice shooting!
Welcome to the GREATEST show on earth! There are lot of really good people in this forum... glad you could make it!
I've been wondering about those Benji-Disco's... a few people on the forum have em'. We refer to the pre-charged pneumatic guns as "the Dark Side"... for which I've been real tempted to purchase one lately!
Enjoy!

Rod welcome to GTA and it is good here . I have a Discovery .177 that is a very good rifle as a matter of fact it is my go to gun . I do a lot of paper at 50 yards and when I am on the rifle will do a 15 shot string in a inch group . But I have to do my part for sure . There is a Discovery form here . On the right side of this pages header click on the PCP then you will see a new header with the Discovery forum on it click it and you are there . There should be some helps there on power adjusters and trigger mods that you might want to read . Marvin

Welcome, Rod.
Here is the seat and rest I use. I have tried others, but an inexpensive tripod with a modified rest and a small folding seat are awfully convenient, particularly when you just want to grab it and go shoot for a while without spending a lot of time setting up.

since May and have put more than 4000 rds through it with out any problems I use a scuba tank for most of the fills but use the hand pump when hunting ,it is truly a well built gun for the money!

Hey, a belated welcome to GTA! Where do you hang in central California?
I lived in Fresno for several years and the gf still does. I am a veteran of the ground squirrel wars, and spend a lot of weekends up there doing my part. Also some pest whackage down in Selma on a raisin farm, after waves of giant killer jackrabbits, although I haven't done it much lately.
Welcome again and may you always find a parking spot in the shade-
