Today was like the Marianas Turkey shoot in my back yard. They kept coming and I kept dropping them. Hopping over their dead comrades in nuts just to get to more nuts.
All shots were from between 33 and 40 yards. Only one was not a side profile shot, that was a back o' the head shot.
21.1 grain Kodiaks out of the Talon SS.

That's a GD chipmunk Jeff!!!!! LMAO JK Bro'!! Nice shootin Greg. Very impressive rig you've got. Since I never use pods of any kind, I've a queston for you. Can you set your tri-pod sideways to rest it on a tree trunk for stability? In other words, can you pin it to the side? Is the mounting articulated? Man I'd love to use that kind of stuff in the woods. Then again it would make me lazy too!!! What to do,....what to do!?!?!?!?!?!?tjk

Great shooting Greg! SS looks preettyyy :-)
I 'd use the Kodiaks with it too. They give you the most punch (fpe) in that gun.
I 'd slow down a little, or you risk running out of squirrels to shoot, like some of us are beginning to :-)
What kind of pistol grip is that? Is is a slip-on? Where did you get it? Did it require any modification to get it to fit?

The gun bipod mounts are only in a vertical position tjk. I'm sure some enterprising fella could rig something up but as it is now it wouldn't work that way. The gun is accurate enough that just leaning against something to brace is just about as good though.

I've been thinking that too only1harry but every day that I've dropped some others have taken their place. In truth, in 2 weeks I've dropped about 22 squirrels. Every morning I look outside at the acorn tree and sure enough, there are more out there. It boggles my mind but it happens every day.
The pistol grip was taken off an old Spyder Compact P paintball gun that I had. It was originally an Allen Paintball Products (APP) slip on grip. You could use one from any Model 98 as well. It required me to drill and tap the factory hand grip but it fits my large hands MUCH better this way. No modification was required on the grip itself though.

Excellent shooting on those 4 nutters. Guess they`re trying to fatten up for fall/winter.

Thanks for the info on the grip Greg. Wow 22 nutters in 2 weeks! That acorn tree probably supports a lot of squirrels from the entire neighborhood I bet. I shot 21-22 squirrels during the entire last season but after #15 or 16, they got really scarce. I would see 1 maybe once a week. I 've already shot 9 or 10 in the last 30 days and I have not seen one in several days. Just 1 across the street 2 days ago. He didn't dare cross it :) Of course I don't have an acorn tree either. That tree is a squirrel magnet for a 1/4 of a square mile.
