: Broke a spring in my almost-new Ruger AirHawk!
: vinceb October 23, 2008, 01:05:30 AM
Only a month-and-a-half old, and the spring broke about 1 1/4 coils from the end.

Went rummaging around in my old spring box -  turns out the old JM Tarantula spring fits nicely. This one had done some duty in either a Shadow or B19 - but it works great in this gun. Lighter cocking, smoother shooting, and the same power.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience.
Is there a reason you didn't pursue a Warranty issue?
Just curious.

Ya Vince, I have found the Taranchula springs to be quite universal at times and  they are a very good spring.

At $26 shipped you can't beat the Big T spring, it fits many different guns and as has been said makes cocking and shooting much better, all of Maccarri's stuff seems to do that...must be why everyone likes his parts....
