I wuz thinkin'...and of course that's not gud....
How about posting what Gamo gun you have and what type pellets works best in your particular gun for either target, plinking or hunting. I'm sure there will be a lot of preferences but maybe we can get somewhat of a consensus and perhaps narrow down the available pellets to just a few for the guys and/or guns to start out with to determine what pellet is most likely to work in various models.

It will be interesting to see the results I think.

Great Idea Bob.
The three CFX rifles have serial numbers on top the barrels. I am sure there are other CFX's out there which would do well with other pellets. They worked great with the RWS Superdomes so I never used a different pellet.
This is just my opinion on the pellet types which my springers love. I have other springers and PCP's that use a variety of pellets and are very accurate with most of them.
I will start with my collection of Gamo's..:)
1. Shadow 1000 .177 - Loves, JSB .177 DIABOLO EXACTS, 8.4gr. Have not hunted with them. Punching paper they work great.
2. Shadow 1000 .20 - Loves, BEEMAN / MARKSMAN FIELD TARGET SPECIAL, 11.5gr. Great for punching paper.
3. Black Shadow Supreme .22 - Loves RWS Superdomes, 14.5 gr. Good for paper punching and hunting. Usually one shot per squirrel under 40 yards is leathal.
4. Hunter 440 .177 - Loves RWS Superdomes, 8.3 gr. Good for paper punching and hunting. One shot per squirrel under 40 yards is leathal.
5. Hunter 1250 Royal .22 - Loves RWS Superdomes, 14.5gr. Work great for hunting under 75 yards. One shot one kill. Usually does not matter where you hit the squirrel. He just dies..:)
6. CFX Royal .177 - Loves RWS Superdomes, 8.3gr. Good for paper and geat for hunting. One shot per squirrel under 40 yards is leathal.
7. CFX Synthetic .177 - Loves RWS Superdomes, 8.3gr. Good for paper and geat for hunting. One shot per squirrel under 40 yards is leathal.
8. CFX Royal .22 - Loves RWS Superdomes, 14.5gr. Good for paper punching and great for hunting. One shot per squirrel under 40 yards is leathal.
9. Damo .... AKA Daisy 131, .177.. :) - Loves the RWS Superdomes. Great small springer for targets under 40 yards.

Well, it's obvious I don't have nearly enough rifles! And Gene, I still think you have way too many guns to claim baby status!
Anyway, just the one Gamo, my CFX, pre-tune, JSB Exacts for longer range targets, anything past 20 yards, JSB Match Diabolo S100's for sub-20 yard targets. Post-tune, it's showing a marked preference for RWS Superdomes, although I think I may still be having seal issues. I need to chrony it again, just haven't had the time. And just for fun, my CFX HATES anything with a point. Loaded with any pointed pellet, and the safest place to stand is in front of it.

1) My Shadow - likes CPL's, Premier HP's, and Super Domes.but do reasonably well with Hunters and Match. Does not particularly like CPH's, Copperhead Wads or domes, HATES Geco or Daisy Wads.
2) Wifey's Shadow - likes CPL's, Premier HP's, and Hunters... Copperhead wads/Copperhead domes a little less. Doesn't like Superdomes, Geco, or Daisy Wadcutters as much. REALLY doesn't like Gamo Match or CPH.
3) My Shadow - rebarreled to .22 cal (using a Gamo barrel) - only really tried Hunters and Premier HP's, and it seems to do well with them both.
4) My 440 - haven't tried a variety. It doesn't complain about CPL's, and since I bought 20,000 of them a few months ago... so that's what it gets fed!
5) I know a Quest isn't a Gamo - but mine hates Geco, Copperhead Wads, and Daisy Wads. It likes CPH's and Copperhead Dome more, but it does well with Gamo Match and Hunter, CPL, Superdomes, and Premier HP.

Had a Gamo S1K & a CFX synthetic. Both .177 . Both rifles shot RWS Supermags (9.3gr wadcutter) very well @ 10 to 20 meters. The gentleman I sold both rifles to (who is a big contributor to this forum) told me that this particular pellet did not do well when shot @ long distances.

S1K .177 - RWS Superdomes, Beeman Crow Magnums and JSB Predators
CFX .177 - RWS Superdomes, GAMO Tomhawk and JSB Predators
Black Shadow .22 - Superdomes, RWS Super Hollow Points and JSB Predators
1250 .22 cal - JSB Predators, Beeman Crow Magnums and Crosman Premier Domed
For the most part I've been using the Predators almost exclusively in the .22's for hunting.
