So, if I am going to fix this Gamo Shadow 1000, where do I buy the pieces from?
I am thinking that a new breach block and lockup assembly is likely needed, along with a new hinge pin screw.
Can I convert to a .22 caliber barrel with this gun?
Things I have been thinking about. While shooting this weekend, I placed a scope in a set of mounts modified to compensate for the barrel droop. I found that elevation was inconsistant from one shot to another. Also, when looking at the barrel it appears to move downward after firing, a small gap is evident at the top of the breach/action. This is after knurling the hinge pin and sizing it to the bushing in the breach, and adding .090" or so behind the lockup spring to tighten it up. I suspect that the lockup is not holding sufficiently.
This gun has a chisel style lockup, what are the problems that I should look for?
Even if I was to perform Fix's oversized pin and bushings, would that necessarily cure this gun?
The power plant is typical Gamo TWANG, but it shoots well with plenty of power. I was shooting with a friend that has a newly tuned B26 .22, both guns would completly pancake a pellet at 40yds shot at flat metal surface. Boy did his gun shoot nicely though, no twang, little recoil and spot on. Nice piece.

You cannot buy those parts. Maybe Paul can make them fer ya..but I think it would be cheaper to buy a good used S1K.
