I bought a slightly damaged stock off the yellow classifieds ; I started stripping it to refinish and decided the wood was just too plain and the factory finish was too tough to get off , so I sanded smooth everything and shot it with a couple of coats of Rust-oleum textured black ,followed up with a coat of Deft satin clear wood finish to seal the finish . I've set this carbine up to shoot match class airgun benchrest with a BSA Platinum 36X target scope. I lowered the power to <7fpe to comply with the rules. I think she kinda tactical , if there is such for airguns . Would make a nice pest bird or chipper sniper rig , if I did such. kirby

Black Beauty, I'd say.

Good work David. It must have been a beech wood stock..:) Does not matter what color the stock is, the AA410C will still do one holers all day long..:) Gene

Kirby:
Do you like the carbine better than the standard AA410? And is the AA 410 H Classic the same air rifle I see pictured as the AA 410 in most of the dealer sites?
-
would be a multi-shot 12fpe bolt action rifle. The S400H Classic is a 12fpe single shot rifle. Both can be had in either beech, walnut or thumbhole walnut . I know you can still get a 12fpe S400H or S400C Carbine in your choice of stock, because I priced a Classic in a walnut thumbhole stock just a couple of weeks ago with Jim at Precision airguns . It wasn't cheap . The rifle IIRC was $665 + Close to $300 for the TH stock . It was close to a grand total . I'm not sure if a 410 is still available or not ; you would have to call Jim and see what he has in stock . I know all the 12 fpe are bolt actions, the adjustable power model are the new side-levers . I like both the Classic and the Carbine . The only difference is the size of the airtube . You'll get about 30 more (consistent) shots with the Classic over the Carbine. The Carbine weighs about a pound less. Neither are what I would call heavy . You won't go wrong with either one. I wish I had bought that S410C in walnut that Gene sold . That was a sweet rifle . kirby http://www.precisionairgunsandsupplies.com/page/page/2944343.htm

You did a very excellent paint job on that AA S400C stock. Somehow it makes the air rifle look more deadly......

Good Lord man, that scope is nearly as long as the action it's mounted to!
I have a warm place in my heart for bedliner, hehe, that looks great:)
